With all of the changes that have occurred with airport security, it’s more important than ever that you have a reliable way to get to the airport. By hiring Carreras Tours to shuttle you and your group to the airport, you won’t have to worry about being late, finding (and paying for) parking, and dealing with the traffic. Our reliable driver will pick you up in one of our modern buses and take you to the airport, dropping you off right at the door. The shuttle experts at Carreras Tours can also pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel or to the event that you’re in town for.
Not all bus companies are the same, make sure that you choose the one that will give you the best service for the money. Here are some things to keep in mind when shopping for an airport shuttle bus service.
Things to Keep in Mind When Choosing an Airport Shuttle
Reputation Means A Lot
Just about anyone can buy a van or a used bus and go into business, but that doesn’t mean you need to give them your money. Check out their reputation for reliability, safety, professional drivers, and comfortable vehicles. Airline travel isn’t what it used to be, so having to hassle with an unreliable shuttle company is just one more thing that you shouldn’t have to deal with. You need to make sure that you can count on the shuttle to be on-time, safe, and have the room for you and your luggage, comfortably.
There are many options for checking a company’s reputation online. You can use Yelp, Google, Facebook, and other forms of social media. You can also do an internet search to make sure that the company is properly licensed and has a clean accident record. Make sure the shuttle company that you use has licensed and trained drivers and vehicles that are well-maintained. Your safety and comfort are important.
Reliability is Important
When dealing with travel plans, the best-laid plans can often go astray. Weather, flight delays, lines at security, and other issues may cause your schedule to be altered. It’s important that your shuttle service is ready when you are. Knowing that your shuttle will be waiting for you when you land is one less thing to worry about.
You also need to make sure that your shuttle service gets you to the airport on time. There are a lot of hoops to jump through once you arrive, so having your shuttle show up late is just going to add more problems to your flight plans.
There are always things that can’t be planned for, but your shuttle service should be proactive and able to handle anything that comes their way to make sure that you stay on your schedule.
Make Sure Your Group Fits
When you contact a shuttle bus company, make sure they have the vehicles to fit your group’s size. They should try to keep your group together, if at all possible. The bus should have plenty of room for your luggage, in addition to the people. Carreras Tours has a variety of buses that will fit your group perfectly, so just let us know how many of you need a ride and we’ll take care of the rest.
We have buses that will accommodate anywhere from 20 to 57 passengers. Your group will ride in luxury in comfortable seats, with A/V systems in our climate-controlled coaches.

There are so many places to go in this great country of ours, but have you visited a National Park? Carreras Tours enjoys taking groups to all of the 58 National Parks in the United States. Here are some favorites of ours and our guests.
Located in Utah, Arches National Park is home to over 2000 natural stone arches, along with balanced rocks, skyscraping pinnacles, and huge fins. You can see many of the arches and rocks from the paved park roads, but if you take a hike, you can see much more of this beautiful park. They offer ranger programs and a variety of publications to help you learn more about Arches National Park. Some popular locations in the park include Devils Garden, Delicate Arch, The Windows, and Balanced Rock. Your group will have plenty of picture-taking opportunities at Utah’s Arches National Park.
Also located in Utah, Bryce Canyon National Park is home to the largest collection of hoodoos in the world. What is a hoodoo, you ask? A hoodoo is an odd-shaped pillar of rock caused by the effects of erosion over the years. There are four “hot spots” in Bryce Canyon National Park: Bryce Point, Inspiration Point, Sunrise Point, and Sunset Point. These four viewpoints are all within a mile of the entrance to the park, but there is more to see in the park, especially if you take some of the hiking trails available. The ranger programs include a daily geological talk, night sky viewing, rim walks, and full moon hikes. Horseback rides are also available to those so inclined. The Bryce Canyon Lodge is available during the summer and during the winter, you can stay at the Sunset Hotel.
If you are looking for something a little closer to home, Channel Islands is off of the California mainland. The park consists of five islands and the ocean around them. The islands are Anacapa, San Miguel, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, and Santa Rosa. The Channel Islands are home to over 2,000 animal and plant species with 145 of them being found nowhere else in the world! Experience a side of California you may never have seen. The mainland visitor centers in Ventura and Santa Barbara are accessible by one of our charter buses, but you will have to hire a boat or plane to take you to the islands. Once on the islands, you will have to walk, kayak, or use a private boat to get around. These islands are a little more difficult to access than other national parks, but the little trouble is worth it, as you will see things that not many others have ever seen in person.
Many people don’t know that the Everglades in Florida is a National Park. The largest subtropical wilderness in the United States, The Everglades are home to endangered species like the American crocodile, the Florida panther, and the lovable manatee. Made up of 1.5 million acres of wetland, the park has three entrances throughout south Florida. The park offers a large abundance of activities such as hiking, observation towers, kayaking, biking, or guided tours. Make sure to check the schedule as there is a dry season and a wet season. The wet season can get “buggy” and a lot of the ranger programs are not offered during this time. Carreras Tours can take you to the park entrances accessible in Miami, Everglades City, and Homestead, FL.
Rising 7000 feet over the scenery of Wyoming, the Teton Range is full of beautiful lakes, quiet woods, and remarkable wildlife. Two hundred miles of trails are waiting for you to explore, along with the Snake River. In addition to the beauty of Mother Nature, there are old homesteads and cattle ranches that you can explore. You can walk on trails blazed by Native Americans or fur trappers back in the 1820s. You can choose to stay in a modern hotel, lodge in a historic cabin, or even “rough it” in a tent cabin. There are also a lot of places to get food like restaurants and grocery stores. Take your group on a Carreras motorcoach to see the alpine vistas and learn about the history of this beautiful park.
Explore with Carreras Tours

You don’t often hear people talking about Sacramento as a destination city.
With so many superstar cities in California, Sacramento is often overlooked for her flashier sisters, but that time may be changing.
Sacramento has its share of cultural venues like the Crocker Art Museum and the Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park, along with the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, the USL’s Sacramento Republic FC, and the PCL’s Sacramento River Cats. All of these are good reasons to go inland and pay a visit to the “City of Trees”. Now you can add fine dining at world-class restaurants as a reason to visit Sacramento.
Eat Your Way Through Sacramento
Sacramento is quickly becoming the place to go for foodies from all over the world. Sacramento is already in the center of the most abundant agricultural area in the United States, so it has easy access to more ingredients than other places, making them fresh and plentiful. Restaurants can rightfully boast that they are farm-to-table places without having a commercial food distribution truck parked out back.
Chefs in many of the restaurants in Sacramento develop relationships with farmer’s markets and growers, ensuring they get the best product for their dishes. Many other cities around the country get their food from the Sacramento area, the difference is that this food may have just been picked this morning. The chefs will customize their menus around what is in season or something they discover.
At your average Sacramento farmer’s market, you’ll find chefs and buyers elbow to elbow with people buying groceries for themselves. The produce and meat they buy now will be on a lucky diner’s plate later today. Because the restaurants buy directly from the growers, they can keep their prices down, without having to pay for a middleman, branding, and packaging. Another way that restaurants can keep their prices down is that rent in Sacramento is sometimes less by a third or more than other big cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco.
“It’s a phenomenal opportunity to be in Sacramento now.” –Sam Marvin, restaurateur
Not only are diners noticing what is going on in Sacramento, but so are world-class chefs from California and the rest of the world. They are interested in making their culinary artwork with fresh ingredients. Many restaurateurs are making plans to open their doors in Sacramento, as it is about to explode.
Some highly rated restaurants in Sacramento include The Kitchen Restaurant, The Firehouse, Biba, and Ella Dining Room & Bar. You really can’t go wrong with any place that serves fresh food in Sacramento.
In addition to fresh produce, caviar that is used in 5-star restaurants in Chicago and New York come from the Sacramento area, in addition to the grapes used in Napa Valley wines. Estimates show that 40% of the country’s fruit and 30% of the vegetables are grown in this area.
You should charter a bus from Carreras Tours with your foodie friends and hit some Sacramento restaurants before the word gets out. Contact Carreras Tours today to learn more about how your group can visit Sacramento before you’ll have to wait in line and pay exorbitant prices for your meal.
