The charter bus experts at Carreras Tours wants you to have a safe and relaxing trip with us. We know you may have some questions, so we have some answers for you.
Does Carreras Tours have handicap accessible buses available?
Yes. Carreras Tours can provide ADA buses when needed; however, the request must be made with the account executive at the time of the initial reservation to ensure availability.
What amenities do the coaches have?
All Carreras Tours Coaches are equipped with a PA system, CD/DVD player, Stereo system, overhead storage, overhead reading lamps, reclining seats with armrests, and restroom on board.
Are food and drink allowed on the bus during the trip? Are there any restrictions?
In most cases, you can bring your own food and drink onboard. In an effort to keep people safe, we do ask that you not bring glass bottles, though.
How far in advance do I need to book my reservation?
To ensure charter bus availability, it is best to book your charter bus as early as possible. This will allow you to choose from the largest selection of available equipment.
What is the process after my charter bus is reserved?
After you reserve your bus, Carreras Tours will send you a confirmation either by fax or email with your confirmation number and the complete itinerary for your trip based on the information you provided. After receipt of your confirmation, if you need to make changes, you may do so by contacting the account executive who set up your reservation.
What type of deposit is required to book my trip?
We require a valid credit card to confirm your reservation. There is no upfront deposit required to complete your reservation. Payment in full with a check or credit card is required five (5) days prior to departure. A 3% service fee will be added for all Visa/MasterCard payments and 5% for payments processed with American Express.
What is the cancellation policy?
Carreras Tours understands situations may arise requiring the need to cancel or reschedule your trip. If this need arises, we respectfully request that you provide us with as much notice as possible. Transportation canceled 48 hrs. or less from departure will result in a 50% cancellation fee. Any reservation canceled 24 hours or less from the time of departure will result in a 100% cancellation fee.
What happens if my bus has a mechanical breakdown?
Carreras Tours has a 24/7 emergency dispatch. If your trip experiences any mechanical problem that is unforeseen a replacement bus will be dispatched to complete your trip.
How much insurance do you carry?
Every charter bus that pulls out of the garage has a minimum of $5,000,000 of insurance coverage. If requested we can provide a certificate of insurance after a reservation has been completed.
Are there any additional fees?
- Parking fees at any venue that your group attends
- Lodging for bus drivers on overnight trips

- Alcohol Deposit – If requested for a charter. $400.00 cash deposit is required
Is smoking allowed during the trip?
There is no smoking permitted on Carreras Tours coaches.
How much space is allowed for baggage?
To accommodate everyone, we ask that you only bring one suitcase to be stored under the bus and one small bag to bring with you inside of the bus.
Are riders allowed to stand and walk during the bus trip?
For your safety and the safety of others, we would prefer that you remain seated with your seatbelt on, but you are allowed to stand and walk around.
Do drivers get breaks between long trips? On long trips do you have more than one driver in case of fatigue?
Yes, our drivers stop every two hours to rest and take a break for at least 15 minutes. On long trips, we usually only have 1 driver per bus. If the trip requires more driving than the legal limit, we assign 2 drivers per bus. The safety of our drivers and passengers is very important to us.
What happens in the case of a medical emergency?
In the case of a medical emergency, our drivers will contact 911 to alert medical services. Please make sure that you have all medicine that you will need with you.
Are seats assigned like on a plane?
Seating is not assigned. The seats are first come-first served, so you may sit where you like.
Do the buses have wi-fi?
Our buses are equipped with wi-fi. Please let people know about your fantastic trip with Carreras Tours on your social media!
What should passengers wear while traveling on the bus?
You'll want to be comfortable. There is heat and air conditioning on our buses, but we can't adjust it to everyone's specific preference. We suggest you dress comfortably with a jacket or small blanket that you can use, if needed.
Are pets allowed on the bus?
Only registered service animals are allowed on the buses. Contact us if you have any questions.
Are there restrictions on the movies or music that can be played onboard?
No, but we do ask that you respect the other passengers.
Do the buses have a restroom with a place to wash up?
Our buses are equipped with an onboard restroom, but they do not have sinks. We do supply hand sanitizer on some of our buses, but you may want to bring your own.
What happens in the case of bad weather when travel is not advised or allowed?
We will advise the group of impending bad weather and we will recommend postponing or canceling the trip. Safety is our first priority.
